Eating out in Pompeii

Add’u Mimi

200 year old family restaurant

We were lucky enough to find this little gem of a restaurant in Pompeii it is a family run restaurant and been in the family for 200 years!

We were made to feel part of the family by these beautiful people who’s passion for what they do is evident! They talk with Passion about their menu and where the produce comes from and the wines (which are amazing and so cheap at 6 euros a bottle).

They menu is all written in Italian but they adorable owner will talk you through it and recommend which of the amazing dishes to choose ! The food and atmosphere was so good we went back the nights after we first ate there. Local traditional dishes are served to the highest quality and the seafood is unreal! As for dessert I actually felt like I had eaten a slice of heaven

One of the cheapest places we had eaten all trip and the food was by far the best.

The location is perfect and the sweet courtyard garden where they grow their own grapes was the perfect place to soak in the whole atmosphere

I truly loved this place and the people who ran it and cannot wait to return! I hope this traditional piece of Pompeii’s history remains with this inspiring family or the next 200 years.
