Eating out in Rome

Places we have eaten in Rome and what we thought about them… (currently being updated)

La Biga (Colosseum)

what a location we sat outsdie directly oppositte the collesuim

was pleasenly suprised at the resonable prices the food was good as was the service the stff were friendly and welcoming and we only had a snack ans some wine and felt able to sit an enjoy the view without beibg rushed for our table despite its prime position

the waiter actually high fived me for catching myself a younger man and called us the lovers of rome lovely little place that does not rip you iff just because of the location

La Gattabuia

we have eaten out at thus lovely resturant twicw during our trips to rome tucked away down a tiny side street near the river its a real gem far from a tourist trap it is full of italian famlies enjoying fine food

the insdie is very quirky theree is a samll outside area on the cobbled street you can sit and eat the food was reasonably priced well cooked and the service was good

feelimg tucked away from the main touristy areas you could enjy a differnt side ti rome

loved this location which when finished is a samll stroll from the river where you can amble along and enjoy a few more drinks

Angelino ai fori 1947

this was suituated oppositte the palatine hill with also a few of the collesum this resturant was incredibly busy however we were seated outside very prompltly

the food was traditional italian stly good food and reasonably priced for the location

however what really set this resturant apart was the amazing desserts probably one of the best ive ever eaten im my life

you also get a real sense of the history of rome and this is one of the best locations ive eaten put at really allows you to soak in the atmosphere of this amazin city
